What Happens During Your First Visit

Check-In and Paperwork

Arrive 15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork. Our friendly front desk staff will help you with insurance verification and prepare your chart.

What you'll need:

• Insurance card and photo ID
• Completed patient forms (if not done online)
• List of current medications
• Any relevant medical records

Medical History Review

Your podiatrist will review your medical history, current symptoms, and any previous treatments. This comprehensive assessment helps us understand your unique situation.

We'll discuss:

• Your current foot/ankle concerns
• Past injuries or surgeries
• Chronic conditions (diabetes, arthritis, etc.)
• Lifestyle factors affecting your feet
• Your goals for treatment

Physical Examination

A thorough examination of your feet, ankles, and lower extremities. We'll assess your gait, range of motion, and any areas of concern.

Examination may include:

• Visual inspection of your feet
• Palpation for tenderness or swelling
• Range of motion testing

• Gait analysis

Diagnostic Testing

How to Prepare for Your Visit

Before Your Appointment

Bring comfortable shoes and socks to change into

What to Wear

Loose, comfortable clothing for easy examination
Shoes that are easy to remove and put back on
Clean socks (we'll examine your feet)
Avoid wearing pantyhose or tight socks
Bring slippers if you prefer covered feet
