Timothy Horak, DPM

Timothy Horak, DPM is a board-certified, award-winning podiatric physician and surgeon with nearly three decades of experience and specialties in ankle arthroscopy, endoscopic plantar fasciotomy, and minimally invasive laser procedures.

Dr. Horak attended the University of Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-medicine and Anthropology. He then went to medical school at the prestigious William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL., where he graduated with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1994. This was followed by a surgical residency at Columbus-Cabrini Medical Center which he completed in 1995. Dr, Horak went on to pursue independent research at Northwestern University Medical School’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehab Institute in Chicago, IL.

There are several hospitals in Illinois to which Dr. Horak is affiliated, including Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, Franciscan St. James Health, and Ingalls Memorial Hospital. He has also won the American Association Orthopedic Podiatrist Clinical Orthopedic Excellence Award.

Dr. Horak is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Indiana, and he speaks both English and Spanish fluently.

Julia Shauger, DPM

Julia Shauger, DPM is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon with nearly 30 years of experience and specialties in cryoskin, laser fungal toenails, and minimally invasive surgery. 

Dr. Shauger earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Xavier University before attending the prestigious William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL., where she graduated with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1993, followed by postgraduate training in podiatric primary care, orthopedics, and surgical medicine.

Dr. Shauger maintains membership with several leading organizations in her field, including the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Podiatric Women’s Association, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. She is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Indiana, and speaks three languages: English, French and Spanish.
